Description
A delicate and unique Eastern Orthodox Icon of the Virgin Mary and Jesus depicting a sacred image of religious devotion with angels on each side is made from copper covered with a thick layer of wax. Made in the later years of the 19th century this wonderful detailed icon has alluring patina and it shows.
The back side of the icon is bound with cloth and the base is made of wood. Even though this is a small piece its glance will appeal to those who have a great eye for detail and will touch those hearts searching for Christian spirituality.
