Description
Antique Keris, Indonesian Sword Dagger. This Kris consists of three parts. The blade (Wilah) hilt (hulu) and the sheath (warangka). This asymmetrical dagger has distinctive blade patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron and is distinctive for its wavy blade complemented by an alluring hand etched pattern of a dragon. The tang is beautifully hand carved from rosewood and the sheath consists of teak wood together with a decorative hand etched silver brass metal body. These are objects of status and are one of the most important within the Javanese society and is a blend of Hindu, animist and Islamic traditions.
